Spring Intensive culminates in a performance at BC Buds Spring Festival

old typewriter

Where does the time go?

Can it really already be May 6th?

Today we completed our

amazing ten week Intensive with

director and teacher extraordinaire

Jane Heyman,

and tomorrow night–

that’s Wednesday May 7th–

ten of our  playwrights–

Jill Daum, Barbara Pollard, Alison Kelly,

Maureen Robinson, Wendy Noel,

Susinn McFarlen, Lynna Goldhar Smith,

Loretta Seto, Beverley Elliott, and

Dolores Drake–will be showcasing excerpts

from ten new plays in development.

It’s the BC Bud’s Spring Festival

at the Firehall theatre and we are delighted

to be part of it. The fun part is that most

of  the playwrights are well known professional actors

and are not only having their new plays read–

but are reading each others plays.

Our director Jane Heyman has cast us

across age and gender and so–

ten women are playing all the roles male and female–

from age nine to eighty four.

You know you gotta love that.

Of course we will be missing Crystal Verge

who is off to a Shakespeare Festival-

and also Wet Ink members

Yumi Ogawa Johnson–

Dawn Millman–

and Melody Anderson

who were with us in the Fall Intensive–

but we think that ten of us can give you a good idea

about what we’ve all been up to in Wet Ink Collective.

Hope you will come and cheer us on

8:00pm. Wednesday May 7th at the Firehall.
